Fellow Celebs React to DJ AM's Sudden Death

Lindsay Lohan, Shanna Moakler, Ryan Seacrest, and Heidi Montag are among the many celebrities who have expressed their loss in the wake DJ AM's sudden death.

AceShowbiz - As soon as news of DJ AM's sudden death was broken, a number of Hollywood famous entertainers took it to their Twitter accounts to express their condolences. Shanna Moakler, whose on-and-off husband Travis Barker is a good friend of the late disc jockey, wrote "My deepest condolences for DJ AM, you were a great artist and will be severely missed. My thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends."

Troubled actress-singer Lindsay Lohan tweeted, "i can't believe this .. i'm in shock. why? why? r.i.p. Adam." Singer Katy Perry kept his post simple, writing "rest in peace friend". Music mogul P. Diddy also kept his message short, stating "DJ AM Rest In Peace..."

Meanwhile, gossip blogger Perez Hilton tweeted, "I'm tempted to feel angry at the world/God right now, but I can't. I won't. I choose to believe Adam is free of his demons now and at peace." Fellow DJ Samantha Ronson said in her Twitter account, "Waiting for someone to say this isn't true."

Some other entertainers who have also shown their condolences included John Mayer, Josh Groban, Kelly Osbourne, Ashton Kutcher, Ryan Seacrest, and Heidi Montag.

DJ AM was found dead at his New York City apartment on Friday afternoon, August 28. He was 36. A representative for the late star has confirmed his sudden death, asking people to respect the privacy of AM's family and loved ones during the difficult time.

Cause of death remains in question, but a police source has confirmed prescription drugs were found in the apartment and there was no apparent evidence of foul play.
