Paula Abdul Will Host Miley Cyrus-Featuring VH1 Divas Concert

Paula Abdul will make a hosting job at 2009 VH1 Divas Concert which is going to be headlined by Miley Cyrus, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis and Jordin Sparks.

Paula Abdul took it to her Twitter to announce that she has been billed to host VH1 Divas Concert, which is revived after being absent from the small screen since 2004. "Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year's 'Vh1 Divas'! The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST," the former judge of "American Idol" wrote.

VH1 Divas concert will take place at Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House. Young artists such as Miley Cyrus, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis and Jordin Sparks are scheduled to rock the show. They follow the footsteps of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Cher, Diana Ross and Beyonce Knowles, who have sung at the event during its previous years.

Explaining why young singers are picked up as musical guests for this year's concert, the gig's producer Lee Rolontz told MTV, "Adele, Kelly, Leona and Miley have all captured the world's attention with their talent and have earned their designation as VH1 Divas this year. Don't let some of their young ages fool you - these women are among the best entertainers in the world and will continue to thrill music fans for a long time to come."
