The 'Phantom of the Opera' star reportedly was terrified at the thought of marriage and preferred to quit from the relationship.

AceShowbiz - The latest breakup report came from Emmy Rossum and her musician boyfriend Justin Siegel. The couple who has been living together for more than two years reportedly hit the wall and decided to end the romance as it was closing to a marriage.

"They've been in a very tumultuous relationship," an insider told Life & Style. "They lived together for more than two years. It was close to marriage and I don't think she wanted to be tied down this early in her career, and though she'd never say that - that's the reason for the split."

There is still no confirming statement from the actress herself regarding the split report. Life & Style's source claimed that Emmy is taken aback by the incident and is still recovering from the pain. The source said, "Emmy's really sad right now, it caught her by surprise."

Emmy Rossum came to Hollywood's attention when she starred in "Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera" as Christine. She was recently seen in "Dragonball Evolution" playing Bulma. Beside roaming in the movie industry, Rossum also released an album titled "Inside Out" in 2007.
