Timothy Olyphant Breaks Silence on 'Hitman 2'
Movie

Promoting David Twohy-directed 'A Perfect Getaway', the Agent 47 of 'Hitman' confesses that the sequel is yet to be on his schedule.

AceShowbiz - A sequel to 2007's "Hitman", "Hitman 2", has been confirmed to be brewing, and the next question to be answered is whether or not Timothy Olyphant will reprise his role. At the junket for David Twohy-directed "A Perfect Getaway", the actor who plays Agent 47 in the first movie himself addressed the matter, saying he is yet to be signed on.

"It's not on my schedule," the 41-year-old told Coming Soon. "If they want me to do another one, I supposed they could have me, yes," he further fessed up. "The things that I've got in front of me right now I'm really excited about the television show [the new FX series 'Lawman']. What I can tell you about 'Hitman' is that I'm thrilled that it was as successful as it was and it was a really nice opportunity and I appreciate that opportunity."

In June, IESB reported that 20th Century Fox has hired Hollywood's hottest, young writer Kyle Ward to pen the follow-up movie's script. The studio, which targets the movie to be outed by the end of 2010, aims to take the central character Agent 47 in "a whole new direction" with original producers Adrian Askarieh, Daniel Alter and Chuck Gordon.
