AceShowbiz - There is a fresh promo of "The Vampire Diaries" that does a mash up between the romance and the action within the series. Kicked off with all the things that come along meeting someone ("desire", "heartbreak", "redemption"), the footage continues with more serious tones such as "fear" and "rage". But eventually, it all comes down to "love".
"The Vampire Diaries" is one of the new series that The CW will bring up this Fall. It has been heavily promoted and paired with "Supernatural" in place of "Smallville". The pilot, which has been screened during the opening night of San Diego Comic Con, will go on screen September 10.
Based on the books by L.J. Smith, it tells the story of Elena Gilbert, a beautiful student whose parents have died, and Stefan Salvatore who is a century old vampire. The two meet at school and quickly become fascinated at each other. Everything is heading to the right direction until Stefan's evil brother Damon also takes interest in her.
