The former boy-bander admits he has heard of his ex-wife Jessica's separation from Tony Romo and so wishes her the best.

AceShowbiz - Nick Lachey is quick to quash speculation that it is possible for him to get back with ex-wife Jessica Simpson now that both of them are on the single market again. "I think it's fun storytelling, but there's very little truth to any of it," he told People while attending a party held at Dusk at the Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City on Saturday night, July 18.
"I certainly have heard about her breakup and I wish her the best, as I've always done. Aside from that, there really is nothing to say," he continued when referring to Jessica's recent split from footballer boyfriend Tony Romo. "I haven't talked to her in probably two years. I wish her happiness. That's where it pretty much ends," Nick added.
On him breaking up with longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, Nick claimed, "I'm in a good place. I've learned, through years of not only being in this business, but being in relationships, that you have to take it as it goes. With every experience, you learn something about your life, and you try to take that and move on and be a better person because of it. We'll see what happens."
Late last month, a representative for Vanessa Minnillo confirmed that she and Nick Lachey "have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another." Earlier last week, reports were mounting that Jessica Simpson was dumped by Tony Romo on the eve of her 29th birthday on Friday, July 10. She has since kept herself away from the spotlight and opted to spend time with family and some female friends.
Currently, Nick is working on his new album "Coming Up for Air." The set, which features a duet with "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi, is expected to be released in October.
