AceShowbiz - Yahoo! Movies has got a hold of another fresh trailer from "Sherlock Holmes". Though containing pretty much similar footage to the first trailer, this brand new sneak peek at director Guy Ritchie's new take on the legendary detective and his crime-solving story still reels in a number of never-before-seen footage.
The freshly-released trailer takes another look at the slow-motion bare knuckle fist fight between Holmes and his opponent. Unlike the first trailer that sees Holmes landing his fist on his opponent's face, this new promo video displays the detective blocking a hit with his left hand and striking a blow with another hand. A scene where Holmes is stunned by Watson's blow on his face is also shown here.
Based on Lionel Wigram's upcoming comic book, "Sherlock Holmes" is the first major big-screen version of "Sherlock Holmes" in more than 20 years. It will present a new portrayal of the Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous character. In it, Holmes together with his partner Dr. Watson will battle a new nemesis using his fighting skills which are as lethal as his legendary intellect, and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.
Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as Holmes and Watson respectively, the movie will also see Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler, Holmes' love interest, and Mark Strong as the main villain, Lord Blackwood. Expected to make its debut in U.S. theaters December 25, it will be presented by Warner Bros. at San Diego Comic Con 2009 on Thursday, July 23.
