Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo Break Up the Night Before Her Birthday

The love relationship of Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo is kaput as reports have been floating all over the web that the pair has called it quits. Their separation, sad to say, occurred the night before Jessica's 29th birthday on Friday, July 10.

"She is heartbroken," a source close to Jessica tells People. "She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show (The Price of Beauty). They decided to part ways." A representative for the actress-singer would not comment on the split report. Tony's representative, in the meantime, cannot be reached for comment.

Jessica, who's been dating Tony since November 2007, initially planned to throw a Ken and Barbie-themed party to mark her 29th birthday. But, her separation from Tony forced her to cancel the bash. "Barbie party didn't happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER!" she tweeted on Saturday, July 11.

The following day, she posted another message on her Twitter account that read, "Everyone needs to know that hope floats ... grab the strings and pull it back to you ... Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs. Please lord give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies, and family rest. Bring all of us peace."

As for Tony, he was seen on Friday night spending time at Los Angeles hot spot My House. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback showed up to the venue alongside 14 friends with Jessica was nowhere to be seen. "He had quite a few girls stop by his dance floor table," says a witness. "Romo was sipping Grey Goose and having a fun time with the boys."
