The Natalie Cook of 'Charlie's Angels' movies allegedly in early talks to star opposite funny man Seth Rogen in a movie about crime fighting masked-vigilante known as The Green Hornet.

AceShowbiz - "The Green Hornet" could get a Golden Globe-nominated actress as its leading lady. According to Entertainment Weekly, Cameron Diaz is considering a female lead offer for the superhero movie. Indicating the 36-year-old is said to be in early talks for the role, the publication stressed that no deal has been set in stone just yet.

What part she will tackle in the project hasn't been disclosed. However, should the actress who will soon be seen starring in "The Box" join the adaptation project, she will be seen playing opposite leading man Seth Rogen and working with director Michel Gondry. Her representatives refused to give comment on this casting rumor.

An adaptation of WXYZ's radio show created by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker, "The Green Hornet" centers on Britt Reid, a newspaper publisher by day and masked vigilante "Green Hornet" by night, and his adventures in fighting crimes. Produced by Neal H. Moritz, it is penned by Seth Rogen and his writing partner in "Knocked Up", "Superbad" and "Pineapple Express", Evan Goldberg. Shooting commences shortly since the movie is expected to be released in the U.S. July 9, 2010.
