The actor and his wife Maureen McCann have welcomed their first child, a baby girl.
A baby girl has been born for British actor Simon Pegg and his wife Maureen McCann. While there is no further detail shared about when and where the infant was born, it can be confirmed that the newborn baby is the pair's first child.
Simon Pegg, best known for his role as Shaun in 2004 film "Shaun of the Dead", married wife Maureen McCann on July 23, 2005. Back in February this year, the actor publicly confirmed that he and Maureen were expecting a baby girl.
"I'm hoping for a baby girl," the 39-year-old star said at that time, before then adding, "but I really don't mind what we have. We're thinking of having it in America as the baby will then have dual citizenship. I'm really looking forward to it. It's going to be amazing."
Most recently, Simon expressed his excitement to be a father for the very first time. He stated, "It's the most important thing to me. I'm very excited. I want to be a really good dad, a good influence and a good role model -- someone my child can turn to, whatever the hell that means ... It's all to do with your attitude and making sure they stay grounded, but making sure they aren't deprived of anything."
