Tour promoter is allegedly considering to use the rehearsal footage of Michael Jackson during his 'This is It' concert preparation for a movie.

AceShowbiz - Before his tragic death on Thursday, June 25, Michael Jackson has been captured on camera preparing for his comeback concerts, and words are coming out that this rehearsal footage may be turned into a feature film. According to Associated Press, the idea has been considered by Jackson's "This is It" concert promoter AEG Live, who owns the rights to the footage.

The material which is said to contain over 100 hours of Michael rehearsing his back catalog for the tour scheduled to play at the O2 Arena, London, later in the year, includes the King of Pop performing his hits "Thriller" and "Beat It" in addition to production meetings and auditions. Some of the rehearsal footage was shot in high definition.

In an interview at Staples Center, AEG's president and CEO Randy Phillips stated that they are waiting for Jackson's estate to be settled before proceeding with their plan. He also added that the estate which was in an estimated $400 million debt could benefit from the release of the rehearsal footage. Beside planning on making a movie out of the footage, AEG could also use the material to create live albums and a pay-per-view TV special.

On Thursday, July 2, AEG Live has released a video footage showing Michael Jackson's last rehearsal for his London's O2 Arena concerts. In the video, the legendary singer is seen singing two songs and dancing energetically at Los Angeles' Staples Center. One of the songs he performed is "They Don't Care About Us".
