Bill Nighy Confirms Involvement in 'Deathly Hallows'

Addressing his future participation in 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows', Bill Nighy remains coy on his character though words are, he will carry out the role of Rufus Scrimgeour.

AceShowbiz - Bill Nighy has been cast in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". According to a report in The Independent, the 59-year-old actor has recently spoken up about him joining the production of the adaptation of the last "Harry Potter" series. "I don't think I'm allowed to say it but I'm going to be in the next Harry Potter film," he said as quoted by the trades.

While giving out the confirmation of him joining the cast, Nighy won't disclose what character he is touted for. "I won't say which character, but he's a goodie," he shared. "I just got the gig." Words are, the "Love Actually" actor has been set to portray Rufus Scrimgeour, a veteran Auror in the Ministry of Magic who spends most of his time fighting Dark Wizards.

Asked whether or not he has read the J.K. Rowlings' novel series, the Davy Jones of "Pirates of the Caribbean" series admitted that he has yet to lay his hand on them. "Not yet, but I will!" he confessed. "It's rather like being in a Shakespeare that way, you know?"

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", the seventh and final book of "Harry Potter" series will be made into two movies, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II". "Part I" is due for November 19, 2010 release in both U.S. and U.K., whereas "Part II" has been set for July 15, 2011 release. Both of them will see Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson returning as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
