Drake is rumored to have signed a joint deal with Lil Wayne's Young Money and Birdman's Cash Money.

AceShowbiz - According to MTV, Drake has inked a deal with his mentor Lil Wayne's label, Young Money. The deal he has secured reportedly is a joint venture between Weezy's recording company and Birdman's record label Cash Money with Universal Republic in charge of his album's distribution.

"Today is a definitely a comfortable day for me, having my team now that's been in place for a couple of years. It's just a great day," Drake recently shared his thought to MTV. "It's something new, but it feels familiar."

Previously, Drake had been offered several record deals from major labels, one of which was Atlantic Records. At that time, he was said to choose Young Money among other giant companies which wanted to sign him. But, he denied the report and insisted that he was just a "YM affiliate."

Drake is currently working on his debut album "Thank Me Later". In this record, he hopes to work with Jay-Z and Kanye West in addition to Lil Wayne. Aside from cooking up materials for his own effort, the Canadian rapper who started his career in showbiz as a small screen actor also writes songs for Rihanna's new album and is involved in the making of Weezy's rock-inspired set "REBIRTH".
