Taylor Swift is excited after she learns that John Mayer wants to make a duet with her in a song called 'Half of My Heart'.

AceShowbiz - John Mayer has revealed his desire to make a collaboration with Taylor Swift, and the country music singer responds to it with excitement. "He Twittered the other day that he wrote a song, and he wants to make it a duet with me. I freaked out when I heard [it]," so she tells Elle Magazine.
Explaining further that she would love to duet with John, Taylor says, "[It's] because I've been such a big fan of John for such a long time." She adds, "I'm really excited about just the idea that he would even mention me in his Twitter!"
Back in March this year, Taylor Swift was mentioned as John Mayer's duet dream on his Twitter. "Waking up to this song idea that won't leave my head. 3 days straight now. That means it's good enough to finish. It's called 'Half of My Heart' and I want to sing it with Taylor Swift. She would make a killer [Stevie] Nicks in contrast to my [Tom] Petty of a song," he wrote.
Two months following John's statement on Twitter, Taylor was joined on-stage by John during a live concert in Los Angeles. They teamed up, singing two songs, "Your Body Is a Wonderland" and "White Horse".
Back to her interview with Elle Magazine, Taylor opens up about what kind of songs she will be crafting for her new album. "There are definitely breakup songs on this record, but not too many. I like to balance out the amount of happy songs, breakup songs, sentimental songs, I-miss-you songs, angry songs," she shares.
