Proud parents, Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou, have decided on a name for their newborn son. Through the actor's representative, the pair let slip on Wednesday, June 3 that they name their baby boy, delivered on Saturday morning, May 30, Kenzo Lee Hounsou.
In addition to the released confirmation, Kimora also tweeted about her infant's name. She wrote, "Welcome into the world Kenzo Lee Hounsou. Kimora's + Djimon's baby boy..."
No words have been offered as an explanation of the chosen name. In fact, it is believed that the name is of Japanese origin and means "wise and three." Moreover, it is assumed that the first name, Kenzo, is inspired by retired Japanese fashion icon Kenzo Takada.
Kenzo Lee Hounsou is Djimon Hounsou's first child and Kimora Lee Simmons' third. She and ex-husband Russell Simmons share custody of their daughters, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee.
