Chris Fedak said that they plan to ease fans' hunger of 'Chuck', which only comes with new episodes in midseason, by releasing 'something on the Internet'.

AceShowbiz - NBC had extended the life of "Chuck" for at least one more season but the network decided to save it for midseason 2010. To bridge the gap and keep people excited about the show, creator and executive producer of the comedy series, Chris Fedak, said that they are trying to create a webseries.
"We're talking to NBC now about what is going to be the super-clever idea to kind of bridge that time," Fedak told Sci Fi Wire. "It is going to be something on the Internet to keep fan awareness alive and remind people about the show."
Additionally, Fedak also shared an interesting fact on the possibility of "Chuck" hitting the screen sooner than March 2010. "We're excited to launch after the Winter Olympics and to launch also with NBC's other new show (Day One). But schedules aren't written in stone for a reason. So you never know. Maybe you'll see us sooner than that," Fedak said. The show is to preserve its regular schedule on Mondays at 8/7c.
Moreover, Fedak who admitted that he's "knee-deep in the writers' room", made comments on the endorsement of Subway sandwich that contributed in saving the show, and also a possible love triangle between Chuck, Sarah and a new someone. On the former, Fedak said "We're still in the early stages of figuring that out," while in the latter he went implicit by saying "Crickets. That's what you get from me. You're getting crickets on this one." But he added, "In the interest of vagueness, I will say that this new upcoming season of Chuck will not be lacking in romance."
On what to expect in the third season now that Chuck knows kung fu, Fedak summarized, "Get ready for excitement. And we also look forward to deepening the mythology of the show, learning more about our characters and, most importantly, having fun."
