Before MTV premieres a brand new clip of Stephen Sommers' 'G.I. Joe' movie at 2009 MTV Movie Awards, a glimpse of the clip has been teased.

AceShowbiz - A brand new clip from "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" will be debuted during 2009 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, May 31, but before it comes out a 45-second of the clip has been unraveled. Said to be a part of the "Attack on Paris" segment from the movie, the snippet highlights on a scene prior to the destruction of the Eiffel Tower footage.

Arriving in an all-white car, Sienna Miller's Baroness enters a building in Paris with Byung-hun Lee's Storm Shadow accompanying her. When they approach the security guards, she asks him who will eliminate the unnecessary complication. Storm Shadow responds by offing the guards using his shurikens, before finding a place to shoot the metal-eating nanomites at the legendary landmark. Hot on their tails are Duke and Ripcord in their accelerator suits.

Arriving in theaters across the U.S. on August 7, "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" is based on the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy franchise. "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" producer Stephen Sommers serves as its director. Channing Tatum, Dennis Quaid, Rachel Nichols, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Christopher Eccleston are among the cast ensemble.

Set ten years in the future and chronicles the rise of the Cobra Organization, it revolves around Duke and Ripcord's introduction to the elite G.I. Joe team. The story follows the team from the Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps as they fight the corrupt arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the Cobra in plunging the world into chaos.
