Dr. Dre puts some new music from his much-delayed album "Detox" in a new Dr. Pepper promotional video, which features himself. In the advertisement titled "Trust Me, I'm a Doctor", he appears in a black leather jacket and spins the turntable from up-beat jam to slow tune.
"Scientific tests prove when you drink Dr. Pepper slow, the 23 flavors taste even better. For me, slow always produces a hit," the powerhouse producer/rap mogul says before then stepping on the DJ booth and adds his statement. "Slower is better - trust me, I'm a doctor."
"Detox" itself is Dr. Dre's third studio album. It has been worked on by the rapper since 2004 but keeps getting pushed back following his job as a producer for other artists' records. Most recently, chairman Jimmy Iovine from Universal Music Group said Dr. Dre "had to stop making his album to finish Eminem's album [Relapse]." Jimmy added, "Dre's going back in January. He'll be finished with Eminem by then, and he'll finish his album."
