Video footage from Kris Allen and Adam Lambert's live appearances in NBC's "Today Show" have just arrived. Their performances in the May 28 episode of the show were aimed to wrap up the concert series, which has been kicked off by No Doubt in the beginning of this month.
Kris, the winner of "American Idol" season eight, delivered two tracks, a rendition of Kanye West's hit single "Heartless" and the Idol winning song "No Boundaries". Meanwhile, the runner-up of the reality singing competition, Adam, sang one song, "Mad World", which was once made famous by Tears for Fears.
In addition to performing, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert also shared a bit info about what they are up to now after graduating from Idol. They said that they are working on their records and prepping for upcoming Top 10 "American Idol" summer tour, which will be started at Rose Garden in Portland on July 5.
Before ending the interview session, Adam insisted he will not join Queen when referring to the speculation of him becoming the band's singer. "I would love to sing with them anytime though. That would be awesome. But, right now I am focusing on my recording career," he elaborated his statement.

Adam is the best singer Kris is the worst singer, BORING!!!!
Kris & Adam are both great artists -- only with different styles. The way Adam sang Mad World at the Plaza should have been that way -- from the recess of the soul -- not screaming most of the time with a high pitched voice. His style won't last with a lot of artists similar like his -- Gaga, Doutry, & the rest of the gang that are in the fast lane. Kris' repertoire of singing style will last longer & will mellow through time
I find it odd that some of you bash Kris so much. If Adam is that great, then there should be no need to bash Kris. That is just a childish way to make your favorite seem like the best. I will assume the classy Adam Lambert posts are posted by adults. The posts bashing Kris have to posted by immature children.
adam lambert has talent, and you can take away the win, but the talent remains forever. kris allen has talent too, and he too will go far.
If you love Adam, listen to Adam and learn from him. Things happen for a reason. He is not worried about the title. He loves Kris, they are friends. He is happy for Kris. Adam got what he wanted. His name is out there. He is going to make an album. He is focused on the positives and the future. Have fun, enjoy his music, if you don't like his music, buy someone else's music, move forward, don't focus on differences find something in common. I for one voted for Adam but, since I don't hate anyone, I have the pleasure of enjoying both Adam and Kris! Why limit yourself by hating things or people? Embrace variety, the differences that make each of us a special individual and stop the hate, you will live longer and be happier!
Hey "geeeeeze" What makes you think Adam's fans won't stick around to watch Adam if they needed to wait for a entire hour. We are trying not hate each other but if you want to bash Adam then please stay out of this board. All I can say to you is "geeeeeeeze get a life" and learn to be more respectful!

The crowd had to stay put an extra hour to hear Kris' second song, and they did so. If it was an all Adam crowd, they wouldn't have stuck around for the last hour. It is amazing how those Adam colored glasses can skew reality.

i totally agree with Chilli. All of Adam's fans (me included) should seriously stop slamming kris. We all know that Adam deserved to win, isn't that enough??? And poobear, you're just jealous kris doesn't have as many fans as adam. Ppl, stop hating, Adam and kris re friends, not enemies. It's actually better that adam didn't win. I am a die hard Adam fan!!! If you love Adam please only tell us why you love him but PLEASE don't say anything negative about Kris 'cause that will hurt Adam's feelings and I'm sure you won't want him to think his fans are mean and cruel.

Whoah a phatetic Kris fans is annoyed. We all know the truth that Idol title is given to Kris, it was set up by the American Idol Producer and the At&T. Kris can't sing outside the Plaza he sounds Horrific! The fans didn't even applaud much. How can people votes for Kris as the crown Idol, that title is tainted anyways, we all know what happen. The American Idol Producer did some conspirancy so that's the truth! Kris can sing but NOT that GOOD! Just by watching here, he sounds AwFUL! Put your ears good and blast your sound system, tone deaf! Kris you suckssssssss... Adam you will always be the Greatest Artist... you Rock the Plaza and you are the American Idol indeed!! Adam you attracts a lot of fans in the PLAZA.. they came for you, that is awesome! I also noticed that they are chanting your name and again you WOWED the audience, even when you are outside performing you are Incredible Adam! Again you manage to attract people. I too was saddened when Adam didn't win, but to boo Kris is totally classless. Kris has a lot of talent, and I think a lot of people just felt that he sounded and looked like his talent was more homegrown. Just remember WHY Idol was created. The winner was to get a million dollar recording deal. Well, Adam said yesterday he's too busy working on his own album to sing with Queen, so he won too. He got a recording deal, and as stated earlier he won't be bound by the idol people or their rules for the next 3 years. Congrats to both, as they both came out winners. Adam entered Idol to get his name and his music out there. He's accomplished that and then some, a true winner in my books. And he took the loss with such grace and dignity..that's true class. I agree withhis talent, he's going to win a million or so Grammies. One more thing I LOVED his response to Clay Aiken. Great wit...He's going places Clay couldn't even dream of.
