'How do you say no to being in Queen,' so 'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert comments on the possibility of him joining the band, adding that the idea is 'unbelievable.'

AceShowbiz - When asked about whether or not he will become Queen's lead singer following recent news that he has been offered the job, Adam Lambert tells Associated Press, "That's a tough question." He explains further, "Honestly, how do you say no to being in Queen."

Although admitting that the idea of joining Queen is "unbelievable," Adam shares, "But at the same time, I do have my own thing to do right now, and that's my goal." He adds, "So if I could, I would try to do both. That's the honest question. I would try to do both. I would love to perform with them anytime they wanted me to but I also have my record to do. So, we'll see."

"My record will be kind of a rock-pop-electronic-dance thing," he continues, this time discussing about what kind of music he wants to make for his debut album. "I don't know how to describe it. I think it's gonna take on a life of its own, as far as genre goes."

Previously, one of Queen's members Brian May told Rolling Stone that he and drummer Roger Taylor "are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation" with Adam Lambert about the chance of rocking with the runner-up of "American Idol". At the time, he praised Adam, "I'm confident Adam will make great use of this wonderful opportunity. I hope I'm there to see it."
