A forthcoming music video for Linkin Park has been made available to peek through a bunch of pictures taken from its shooting location. Through the snaps, it is revealed that the video will exhibit the band rocking out in an indoor place with smokes flooding the venue.
"New Divide" music video is directed by Linkin Park's member DJ Joe Hahn. It is filmed at Paramount Studios and expected to be premiered sometime soon.
On the concept of the video, the band's member Mike Shinoda recently said, "[Joe] is planning on using a lot of really interesting cutting-edge visual techniques, blurring the line between our performance and some kind of digital/mechanical reality." However, he quickly added, "I'm not really sure -- he's either being secretive about it, or it's way over my head, so he's just skipping the explanation."
As of the band's frontman Chester Bennington, he stated, "Honestly, I don't know what's going on in the video." Though so, he managed to give a tease on the video, noting, "We're in a tomb rocking out and there's a huge dead Transformer."
"New Divide" is a theme song for movie "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". Beside having Linkin Park's track as one of its anthems, the movie will also feature music worked on by composers Steve Jablonsky and Bobby Tahouri. Furthermore, electronic music act Julien-K reportedly is on board to score the film's music, while Robert Epps' depicter, Tyrese Gibson, plans to make a contribution. On top of that, Stan Bush has re-recorded his 1986 song "The Touch" with the hopes that it will be used as one of the film's soundtracks.*
"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" itself is slated to be outed in U.S. on June 24. It features the likes of Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Isabel Lucas and Rainn Wilson in addition to Tyrese Gibson.
