'The Twilight Saga's New Moon' Going to Comic-Con 2009

Robert Pattinson is scheduled to promote the 'Twilight' sequel in a panel discussion with co-stars on Thursday, July 23, at the annual convention held in San Diego.

AceShowbiz - Summit Entertainment will bring "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" to Comic-Con International 2009. The studio producing the "Twilight" series have recently announced that they will hold a panel for this movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's second novel on July 23, the first day of the convention held in San Diego, California.

In a note released by Summit, it is unveiled that the stars for the series are scheduled to attend the panel of discussion. One of the actors speculated to be making an appearance at the convention is Edward Cullen's depicter Robert Pattinson. Summit, moreover, promise that they will show exclusive new footage and there will also be "a surprise or two in store".

Comic Con takes place at the San Diego Convention Center, and this year it will run from July 23 to 26. Tickets can be purchased at the Comic-Con website. Unfortunately, the four-day passes are already sold out. However, the Thursday (July 23) single-day passes are still available in limited quantity.

"The Twilight Saga's New Moon" follows Bella Swan as she is left devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire lover Edward. But, her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and she finds her loyalties tested.

Targeting a November 20 U.S. release, this "Twilight" sequel has officially begun its production in Vancouver in mid-April. It is penned by "Twilight" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg and directed by "The Golden Compass" helmer Chris Weitz. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner return to reprise their roles as Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black.
