Exclusive 'Transformers 2' Clip to Air at 2009 MTV Movie Awards

Director Michael Bay and star Megan Fox will be on-hand introducing the first look at 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' exclusive scene at the Sunday, May 31, show.

AceShowbiz - The line-up of exclusive clips to be shown during 2009 MTV Movie Awards has expanded with the addition of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". The announcement came out just days after it was revealed that the awards show is to put out a sneak peek of the much awaited "The Twilight Saga's New Moon".

While "New Moon" snippet will be presented by three of its leading actors, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, the clip of this "Transformers" sequel is set to be introduced by director Michael Bay along with one of the film's star, Megan Fox. Meanwhile, Fox's co-star, Shia LaBeouf, will be presenting the golden popcorn statuette during the show.

Other summer movie to reveal its clip at the awards gala is "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". Presenting the never-before-seen clip of the sixth "Harry Potter" film will be three of the series' major cast, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

2009 MTV Movie Awards will be aired live on MTV on Sunday, May 31 with "Saturday Night Live" star Andy Samberg serving as the host. Ryan Reynolds, Leighton Meester and Lil Wayne are among the announced presenters, while Eminem and Kings of Leon will make a live performance. In the meantime, fans can vote for the winners starting Monday, May 4, in MTV Movie Awards.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" itself will be released in theaters across the U.S. on June 24. Set a year after the end of 2007 blockbuster "Transformers", it follows Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes as they become the target of attack by Decepticons due to Sam's knowledge over the origins of the Transformers and their ancient history on Earth. Battling the Decepticons' effort to capture Sam, Autobots unite with U.S. military and an international coalition to fight back the villains' attack.
