After the Fall schedule announcement by FOX, it is time for NBC to unveil theirs. In a bold move, the Peacock Network orders the 20th season of "Law & Order" which is now tying "Gunsmoke" as primetime's longest running drama. Also in a surprising move, "30 Rock" is benched until midseason comes.
The half-hour comedy starring Tina Fey is reserved for midseason 2010 and its Thursday slot is given to new series "Community" which is starring Chevy Chase and Joel McHale. Also coming only after the 2010 Olympics is "Chuck" which has been saved from cancellation by fans and its sponsor Subway. The order is currently for 13 episodes, and Sarah will be seen working on Subway.
New season of "The Apprentice" celebrity edition is set to premiere in the 2010 midseason along with "100 Questions", "The Marriage Ref" and "Day One". The network is expected to make more changes in March 2010 after the Winter Olympics winds down.
The 10 P.M. slots, as announced previously, will be filled by "The Jay Leno Show". The canceled shows thus are among others "Medium", "My Name is Earl", "Kings" and "Knight Rider". The first two reportedly will be picked up by other networks.

I also liked Kings but had a hard time finding it the second season. You can always tell when a network or it's executives don't like a show. They put them in cruddy time slots and move them to different days without promoting the change. This is almost always a recipe for failure. Great job NBC don't know how you have kept Hero's but glad you did.
Im so disappointed that Lipstick Jungle was canceled, was a great show.
I just finished watching the season finale of 'Kings" which is a great drama. Unfortunately it will not be renewed by NBC in the Fall of 2009. The major networks seem to cancel great shows and keep junk. Too bad, I hope some cable network will pick it up as it deserves to survive.
I am frustrated that "30 Rock" is being held for midseason. It gets so tiring for me as a viewer to see good show after good show be cancelled or suspended, while so much crap (especially reality shows) are left to air. I have already been watching more and more TV on DVD, so I can control my own viewing as well as actually see the entire picture, (as opposed to the 1/2 screen you get on networks when they OVERpromote their grabage.)
