Only a day after news of her engagement to lesbian partner Christine Marinoni was exposed by the media, Cynthia Nixon says she and Christine have had wedding plans on their mind. Opening up about the matter to Extra, the actress says, "We're hoping to do it in New York. We're not going to wait forever, but we're hoping it's just around the corner. Sometime I think before the end of next summer, but we don't have a date."
Of her just announced engagement to Christine, Cynthia confirms they got engaged last month. Though not mentioning the exact date, she shows her gorgeous engagement ring. "She did not get a ring. She will have a wedding ring, but she does not want an engagement ring," says Cynthia when referring to her same-sex fiancee.
Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni, who is an education activist, began dating in 2003 after Cynthia split from previous partner Danny Mozes, with whom she was in a relationship from 1988 to 2003. She and Danny are parents to two children; daughter Samantha Mozes and son Charles Ezekiel Mozes.
