Carrie Underwood will once again return to "American Idol" stage, and this time she is scheduled to perform in the show's finale. The country music singer will deliver a cover version of Motley Crue's 1985 song "Home Sweet Home" during the Ryan Seacrest-hosted singing contest.

Beside featuring a live appearance from Carrie Underwood, "American Idol" finale will also have its two remaining contestants, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen, singing for the audience and the judges. The finale will be held in two parts. The first part, which features Carrie, will be aired on May 19, while the other one, which is yet to have a musical guest, will be broadcast on May 20.

Carrie's forthcoming appearance in "American Idol" finale will mark the second time she takes the Idol stage during the show's season eight. Previously, she made a duet with Randy Travis, delivering a song called "I Told You So".
