Turning 23 years old on Wednesday, May 13, Robert Pattinson marked the day with a celebration held at Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar in Vancouver, Canada that was attended by some of his actor friends as well as his parents. Ashley Greene, Jamie Campbell Bower, and his on-screen lover in "Twilight", Kristen Stewart, were all seen in attendance.
Arriving at the venue at around 9 P.M., Robert and his entourage headed to a private booth upstairs. There, they enjoyed Kobe beef meatballs, lamb, steak, salads and roasted vegetables. After dinner, Robert and Kristen went to the adjoining Afterglow lounge where he drank beer and she sipped champagne.
"Robert and Kristin are a very, very smart couple," a source in the know told US Weekly. "They're friendly and playful but never affectionate in public. Never. Never any hugs or kisses. It's just not their style." The source continued, "Robert's parents were all smiles. They were kind of quiet but very gracious and polite. You could easily see where Robert got his reserved demeanor from."
It was reported that later in the day, the location of Robert's birthday bash was made public via Twitter, prompting hoards of fans coming to see their idols. "There was a lot of buzz and energy in the restaurant," a source informed People. "Being in the same restaurant as Rob Pattinson for his birthday is great."
And as fans flooded the hot spot, Robert and his entourage were soon escorted out from the venue. The group left the place at about 12:30 A.M. Photos of the event can be seen on Celebrity Mania.

Yah the best part about how stories change is they never went to afterglow. They sat upstairs the whole time in their private area.
this is the only website claiming that robert and kristen were alone at the bar. all the others say the whole cast left and went to after glow as a group. i really wish they would just come right out and say whether they were together or not. well, i mean i guess that have time and time again but people ignore the fact that they say they or not. so i wish they would get seriously mad about it or just admit that they are...its getting so annoying.
It was a large group of people at Rob's Party, no one said it was just Rob and Kristen in Afterglow. Stories tend to change along the way when reporting third fourth or fifth hand news.
