An idea to bring the story of Gambit and his love interest Rogue for solo spin-off movie has been thrown in by "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" Taylor Kitsch. The "Friday Night Lights" star who depicts the card-tossing Cajun confessed to MTV News of his hope to team up with Anna Paquin, who played the X-Men's southern belle in the previous "X-Men" movies.
"There are two things with that - she's such a great actress and I'd love to work with her, and that would be cool to see Gambit and Rogue," the 28-year-old shared. On another story he'd like to see, he said, "I'd also like to see the charming Gambit on his own and see how he is with other women - see how he is with the women in the casino there, with the charm and the suave and the effortlessness it takes with him. That's something I'd like to explore as well."
While ideas of bringing Gambit to the big screen has come up since "X-Men 2" was made in 2003, the character whose alter ego is known as Remy LeBeau first appeared in feature film in the recently-released "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". In the Hugh Jackman-toplined movie, Gambit helps Wolverine to reach the island where William Stryker imprisons many mutants. Earlier, there were words that Gambit is one of the characters in "Wolverine" considered to get its own spin-off.

I think that it would be perfect too have a rogue & gambit romance,mostly because they are the romance that everyone wants. jean & scott are over played and no one really likes them that much and the first places,there relationship is so common and boring rogues and gambits is more complicated they can't touch each other but are crazy in love and its a fact that every episode and comic with gambit & rogue romance got better sells.it will be so stupid not to put them in the movie and every one would be piss off
I have only seen the first movie, so I don't know exactly about the details, but some of the comments I have read simply made me write this post. 1. The X-Men live action movies do not seem to have much to do with the original comics stories. 2. In the original sotires, Gambit was supposed to be not so old, or at least that's what I have understood from how people treat him and how he behaves and talks. 3. Why do you care about age difference so much? It's American movies, old guys happen to be with young and beauiful girls many times. I don't find that so cute, actually, but that's what happens in the movies. Personally I prefer Rogue to be with Gambit too. Their characters match and they're just too cute together. He with his womanizing behaviour and she as the UNTOUCHABLE tough woman. Well, also, that is the original couple in the comics too, isn't it?
Make some more Gambit and Rogue rommance
They should really put Rogue and Gambit in a movie to make the releationship of Rogue's life better! That would be good for Rogue since the Bobby problem.
storyline could be saved so easy. yeah rogue got the cure but u saw it wear off on magneto. so you could have iceman still wanting to be with kitty and that make rogue angry and leave the x-men. then mystique's powers could be returning too and she could find and adopt rogue, in the botherhood which included gambit...mystique could convince rogue to hold on to ms marvel long enough that it brings her powers back plus her strength, flying and ages her enough to be able to have a relationship with gambit. if not this way then someone else suggested that gambit could have been caught by stryker after wolverine origins and frozen until x-2 when they destroyed the dam....it would make him the same age as rogue and give him a reason to look for the x-men
are you Romy fans that desperate that you want them together with no logic i mean come on think for a second. Gambit would be in his late 30s maybe 40s. Rogue allready has something with Logan it would be better to have them together then to rush a romy romance just to make you guys happy.
i think in the films the logical way to go would have been to pair her with Wolverine like 1 and 2 hinted at. Anna and Hugh had great chemistry that sizzled onscreen. i doubt we will see Gambit with Rogue the time line is to screwed up.
Well in the third X-Men movie, we all see Iceman developing a closer relationship with Kitty, and growing apart from Rogue. And even though Rogue had taken the cure, you can see the disappointment in Iceman's face in the end of the movie. So maybe that's a sign that Iceman and Rogue are slowly coming to an end, and making room for Gambit. If they make a 4th X-Men movie...which I doubt they will, that would be perfect timing for Gambit to make his appearance. That's true too. But as we see, Logan was obviously a lot older than Rogue was in the movies. But she slowly adapted to adulthood and seemed mature up to his level in the third X-Men film...almost. And in the X-Men Origins movie, Logan looked a lot older than Gambit...and he probably was, so basically Logan is much older than the both of them. So if we do the math, even though Gambit and Rogue may have a huge age difference, it may still work out with both of them being adults. I mean, have you guys not seen the Star Wars Movies? Anakin...and Padme...can you not say there was a huge age difference there? It still worked out for them. Gambit and Rogue (Taylor and Anna) being in a movie together is definitely a MUST and it's something the X-Men fans WANT to see.
idk how Gambit can be with Rogue when she has this sexual tension with Logan in 1 and 2. hell Bryan Singer and David Hayter said they were gonna pair her with Logan in x-3. or so my friend told me we will see what happens. i think they need a new Rogue cause Paquin is doing her vampire show now.
I loved Taylor as Gambit, and I thought that a Gambit and Rogue story line would be amazing. Gambit is my favorite Xmen.
That would just be a dream a movie with Rogue and Gambit I've been thinking about that since the first x-men movie came out.
I'd love to see this. Rogue and Gambit were my favourite couple in the comics, they were epic. And to see that Bobby romance being blown into dramatic proportions, I'd love for Gambit to come and sweep her off her feet. It sickened me that we didn't get to see Gambit at all in any of the first 3 X-Men movies.
I would LOVE to see something like that! For one, I really do just want to see lots and lots more of Taylor Kitsch as Gambit (he did a really good job). The other is that I would just love to see this couple get together. I think it would help give Rogue a little more of the spunk we love so much in the comics. Besides, the direction they have taken her and Bobby's relationship just annoys me. It was just kind of a cute teenage romance in the beginning, but now they ahve turned it into such a drama. Gambit was always better anyway.
Whateve brings Gambit to the xavier house nd to Rogue I don't care!!! I hated the the bobby thing I mean there was a brief romance in the comics but he cheated on her with kitty!!! SO BRING ON GAMBIT TO STEAL ROGUE AWAY FROM THE YANKEE!!!!
yes! that would be a dream come true! I loved Taylor Kitsch as Gambit and I love the passion he has for the character that he has shown in interviews! I would hope that they would bring Rogue in because they had such an epic romance and the one thing i didnt like in the original Xmen films was they seemed to subsitute Iceman as a romantic interest for Rogue when that was never in the comics and it just paled in comparision to the storyline in the comics with Gambit and Rogue and their tumultous relationship. You just cant do Xmen without that storyline in there! They need a Gambit film anyway. The fans have been asking since day one and it took Hugh Jackman taking the reins to listen to the fans and finally bring them Gambit. Taylor is phenominal and this is his role! You rocked this part boy!
I just want more Gambit.
Whatever gives me more Anna, I'm all for it. But if this does come to pass, please write Rogue a bit stronger than in X-Men 3.
