Famous for his portrayal of comic book hero Wolverine, Hugh Jackman will be sinking his claw into another comic book adaptation, "Ghostopolis". On Sunday, May 3, Disney have announced that the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star has been attached to star in the feature film adaptation of Doug TenNapel's graphic novel.
In it, the 40-year-old will be taking the role of a man who works for the government's Supernatural Immigration Task Force which specializes in sending ghosts who have escaped into human world back to Ghostopolis. Aside from being set up to star, the Nicole Kidman's co-star in "Australia" will produce through his Seed Prods.
"Ghostopolis" resolves around a Supernatural Immigration Task Force agent. When a living boy accidentally is sent to the other side, he must team with a female ghost who happens to be his former flame to bring the boy back. Casey Wolfe is overseeing for Disney. This upcoming feature project has yet to have any director or writer attached.
A Tony Award-winning actor, Hugh Jackman has starred in various movies. His big screen credit includes "Kate & Leopold", "Van Helsing", "Happy Feet", "The Prestige" and the "X-Men" series. On Friday, May 1, his latest "X-Men" movie, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", has opened in U.S. theaters. It has since landed #1 at the North American box office and collected an estimated $87 million.
