Almost Collapse On-Stage, Lady GaGa Takes Time Off to Recuperate

Lady GaGa will not make any live performances in August in order to recuperate from the exhaustion that she suffers during her on-going tour.

nearly collapsed during a live concert in Atlanta on April 9 and so she will take a month off from stage to relax. Her management team has emptied her calendar in August and the singer, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, will take the break from performing during the particular month.

"Stefani has been working relentlessly since last summer," a source says as quoted by The Sun. "She has criss-crossed the globe on numerous occasions promoting her album '' and the pressure has now started to get to her."

"At a recent show in Atlanta she nearly collapsed on stage the day after a particularly wild night out. Her management have spotted the warning signs and do not want her going off the rails. They've scrapped all her commitments in August to give her time to get her head straight."

Lady GaGa indeed has been busy touring to support her debut album. She still has several live concerts, some of which are joint gigs with , until the end of May. Most recently, she visited Radio BBC 1 studios in London for an interview in addition to performing her hit single "Poker Face" and covering 's "Viva La Vida".

Aside from "The Fame" promotional project, Lady GaGa will also perform at the Isle of MTV music event in Malta on July 8. At the free gig, which will be held in Il-Fosos Square in Floriana, she will be joined by , and 's protege .
