Rick Ross' new album 'Deeper Than Rap' lands at number 1 on Billboard Hot 200, selling around 158,000 copies, with the help from his beef with 50 Cent.

Rick Ross' beef with fellow rapper 50 Cent reportedly has helped Rick's third studio album "Deeper Than Rap" landing atop Billboard Hot 200. Rick's effort has sold more than 158,000 copies, beating down "Hannah Montana: The Movie" soundtrack, which manages to add another 104,000 selling point this week.

This is the third time Rick secures number 1 on Billboard Hot 200 as he has done the same thing with his two previous records. His 2006 set "Port of Miami" bowed at the top spot on the chart with 187,000 copies, while his second installment "Trilla" ruled the chart in 2008 with 198,000 units.

Commenting on his achievement on the chart, Rick tells MTV, "I knew all the time. You gotta really know somebody's integrity. You gotta know if you're dealing with a champion or not." He adds, "When I say 'Bawse,' I put that infamous on it because I mean it."

"If I'm not a boss, I believe I am. I know where I came from and what I accomplished. In my book, I'm certified. That's what I love about the hip-hop game: It's competitive. I love when you stack the chips against me, 'cause when I hit those numbers, those odds are gonna be in my favor, so we gotta triple up."

Rick Ross and 50 Cent started their feud early this year and threw diss records against each other. Most recently, Rick premiered a music video for single "In Cold Blood", which features Fiddy's funeral service. Claiming to have won over Fiddy, Rick is now looking forward to a beef with Eminem.

Back to Billboard Hot 200, Depeche Mode's "Sounds of the Universe" lingers at number three on the chart with 80,000 copies on its opening sale, overshadowing Rascal Flatts' "Unstoppable", which sells 68,000 units. Closing the top 5 is new artist Asher Roth, which secures the spot with his debut album "Asleep in the Bread Aisle", pulling around 62,000 copies.
