In a press release to announce their new shows and returning series, MTV has unveiled that "The Hills" will continue this fall but without its pivotal character. Lauren Conrad, who had previously uttered her willingness to be out of the picture, will not be back in the reality series, but Audrina Patridge will.
"Lauren has moved on, but Heidi, Audrina, Spencer, Brody, Stephanie, Lo and Justin Bobby will be back as the drama continues with fresh faces, new stories and shocking surprises," MTV wrote. "Spencer and Heidi will be newlyweds so the stakes are higher than ever before for the two to make things work."
With the announcement, MTV also confirms the return of Audrina who previously signed a deal with Mark Burnett Production to have a spin-off similar to "The Hills".
Regarding Conrad's missing spot, reports are spreading fast that Kristin Cavallari will take over her position. Known as the rival of Conrad in "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County", Cavallari is said to create drama in her relationship with Brody Jenner. Her attendance on Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's wedding was no coincidence but was arranged as her 'arrival'.
E! Online said rep would not confirm this but the network promises "fresh faces, new stories and shocking surprises."
