Sugababes are said to seal a deal with Jay-Z's record label and will be working with powerhouse producers behind Rihanna and Beyonce Knowles' hit singles.

AceShowbiz - British girl group Sugababes reportedly have been signed to Jay-Z's recording company, Roc-A-Fella, in a bid to make a big break into American market. They are said to have finalized the deal at London restaurant, Nobu, last month.

Though the group are now attached to Roc-A-Fella, they will still be Island Records' artists, according to Digital Spy. The difference is that after the deal was sealed, they have a chance to work with a new team, which includes people from Jay-Z's label, for their new album.

The group went to Los Angeles on April 27 to start recording the new effort. They reportedly will be helped by masterminds behind Rihanna and Beyonce Knowles' smash hits. However, no names have been shared regarding the people whom they will work with.

Sugababes have released six studio albums. They have achieved major success in U.K. and Europe, but still can't break into the U.S. market. Their latest set "Catfights and Spotlights" was dropped in October 2008 and got no release date in U.S. The album managed to peak at number 8 on U.K. Albums chart.
