Craving for the sound of revving engines and metal clashing? Or simply having the need for speed? Now, you definitely don't have go to the race track since this Friday, April 3, director Justin Lin presents his latest car racing movie into U.S. theaters with the fourth installment of "The Fast and the Furious" series, "Fast and Furious".
Throughout the years, Hollywood has produced various kinds of car racing movies, bringing to big screen heart-pumping actions in both the race track as well as the plain street. While some classic car racing movies pave the way for the modern ones and still are worth revisiting, the technology in filming evolves to the better and so does the action behind four-wheels. Nowadays, filmmakers are competing to lay in the open more and more intricate stunts in feature films no one imagines could be done.
In commemoration of the impressive car race stunts presented in many tire-burning films, AceShowbiz assembles the list of top ten car racing movies from the classic ones to the most recent. While most of the movies listed are Hollywood films, three of them are internationally-produced. With that said and as Darrell Cartrip put it in "Cars", "Boogity Boogity Boogity! Let's go racin'!"

gone in 60 seconds is an amazing movie but f&f is just as good they are both in the same league based on there diffreneces an uniqness from each other street racer is another decent movie as it is based on what street racing can result in. need for speed movie was not bad while it lasted

Fast and Furious is a total flop. Shallow storyline, badly scripted and acted, lack of character development, comic display of emotions. The only thing it's got is computer effects gimmickry. Grand Prix was an excellent movie, especially since it featured real car racing and real collisions rather than some badly designed and sequenced fake imagery.

alright i agree with cradleofdeath considering to the opinion of the CarMovieFiend, First of all Gone In 60 Seconds is a WAY BETTER movie than fast and the furious, ye dont get me wrong its a good movie but Gone In 60 Seconds is 100 times better car so many different cars you get to see and learn so much sh** and a special bonus to the fans through out the world 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 FastBack aka Eleanor, and you really get to see so really go actions compare to fnf movie......im a movie guy and i know and seen way to many movies that now im just watchin replays untill new movies comes out lol

Ive seen Gone in 60 seconds and every Fast and furious movie and i think that The fast and the furious(1st one) is better than all. Than Fast and the furious( sequel to the 2 fats and 2 furious even though it came last) than i think Gone in 60 Seconds comes.

Ok whoever wrote this article is a ricer cause clearly gone in 60 seconds (nicholas cage one) is hands down the best car racing movie and driven is absolutely one of the top 10 best and you had neither of these movies in the top 10 you're on crack.
