For the first time, Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live nationwide in HD. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association have announced that the 67th year would go directly to NBC on January 17, 2010 live at 5 P.M. PST and 8 P.M. EST from The Beverly Hilton. "You don't have to watch the pre-show somewhere else. You can come to NBC to watch it," President of Dick Clark Prods. Orly Adelson said.
This new format means audience in west coast do not have to wait three hours like usual to witness the stars walking on the red carpet and accepting the awards in the ceremony. As President of HFPA Jorge Camara put it, "For the first time, viewers on the west coast will see the winners announced at the same time as the rest of the country, with no tape delay."
Attached with the announcement of the live broadcast is the timetable of the key dates concerning the awards show that honors works in television and feature films. To be noted is the announcement of the nominations that will happen on December 15 this year.
