David is then seen walking backward, passing through the parking lot and the wood until reaching a cab. A scene showing him in an airport takes over. The video ends with David kissing his girlfriend played by before she gets on the plane.

Technically....Bar-Ba-Sol would still be considered something written by Injected. When they were contracted under their company, it became possession of the company. Cook just got lucky his producers got wind of it. *Just be realistic for once, just because he literally changed a few words or a sentence, does not make it his.* It just looks worse on his/his label's part to say he wrote it.

I agree this video is way times better than light on. This video seemed more thought of with it's backward motion concept then getting to normal mode towards the end highlighting the theme of the song. It struck me that this gave David an opportunity to act, and to be sexy with the kiss. I think he does have the chops for acting. I hope his upcoming videos would be like this were there is a storyline to accentuate the theme of the song. It's a great video, I loved it.

David Cook is an amazing talent....his voice is much better than Daughtry's and I love to look at him! I saw him in concert in San Jose and didn't like the eyeliner and white t-shirt but I'll forgive him. I can't wait to see him in concert again! I love every song on this album! I think Cook is a very good actor and he can melt my heart with his facial expressions when he sings but I didn't love the "Come back to me " video with the walking backwards. I am a huge David Cook fan though!

This is for "Sam"... You are wrong, it's not called a "cover" if the song has never been released. You should do your homework before you post. The band "Injected" was working on their album with "Spun Again" as one of their tracks but it never got released because they ran out of money. They gave the song to David to put on his album after he changed it up a bit and changed the title. Full credit is listed on the album to Injected for the song. So, it's not a cover and you shouldn't have said he should stick to doing covers. David wrote or co-wrote most of the songs on the album which was pretty darned amazing since he only had weeks to put the album together while doing an AI tour, so having BarBaSol on the album was like icing on the cake. David takes that song to a whole nother level, it's amazing watching them perform it live, I LOVE THAT SONG!!!

I don't care if he sings Rock or Pop or Opera. I LOVE David Cook. He's just enormously talented and beautiful.

Absolutely gorgeous man, so incredibly talented and versatile. Will never get bored watching him do anything he is full of surprises!!!! I was lucky enough to attend his concert...Just amazing, fun, really rocks. Then there are the song not even on the album...they are so good too! Did I mention Hot and how hard it had to be to sing backwards....oh my!

Love it. An intelligent script staring an extremely gorgeous man. I can't stop listening to this song. So addictive!

This video is 100 times better than the "Light On" video. The backwards mantra has been used before, but the theme of the song actually fits it to "T". Plus, the storyline isn't about crying over a breakup, it's actually the exact opposite. There are a lot of juicy details if you really watch close. Beautifully shot and composed. Easily a hit!

All his fans keep saying Barbasol is his best song, but did you know it was a cover by Injected called Spun again? Pathetic..Cook should stick to covers.

Sorry you don't like Cook. Too bad. He's a platinum artist and puts on a hell of a live show. He is far from boring. You should listen to the entire album before you pass judgement. He can rock with the best of them. Watch Bar-Ba-Sol or Hot for Teacher on ytube. You just might like it.

While I like Lady Gaga (on the radio) that performance was just WEIRD!! David Cook's performance was much more understated and I really enjoyed it.

This song definitely doesn't show of his entire range but I like it and I LOVE the video for it -- he looks HOT!!!!

I actually think it's a decent record with some songs better than others considering the fact he put it together while on the Idol tour and it was very rushed. I like the dude.

Hey Sam--it's not a cover if the song isn't released. David got Barbasol from Injected and made changes to it and therefore has a co-writer's credit and the band's live performance totally rocks!! Come Back to Me isn't the best song on the record but I don't dislike it. It actually sounds better sung live than it does on his record.

Spun Again (BarBaSol)was never recorded for release by Injected and is not considered a cover. He altered the song. It is simply a song mostly written by someone else - as are most songs on the charts. I suggest looking at his concert footage.

the live performance is much better than the studio version..the video is quite nice

Very cool artsy video. I love Cook. Once again he shows us he is not just a rocker. Best Idol ever. This is not my favorite song on the album. There are at least 7 songs that I prefer. However, he knows how to make the most of any song.

Nice looking video, terrible song. Not catchy or memorable at all... Cook's voice grates, and the acting was better left to a professional.

Dude is 26 years old - hasn't he figured out by now the type of singer he is? What will listening to his work pre-Idol prove? That he has gone downhill in creativity since then, and all we have left is this poor imitation of an alt/grunge rocker? What you're saying then is that Cook's best work is BEHIND him in pointing people to review works and material he recorded back in the day... No thanks, not interested. After his performance tonight, there is nothing else he can do to interest me in his brand of "rock"...

I HAVE listened to Cooks CD, and have seen him in concert... and I'm still not impressed. He is overhyped, and has not a shred of originality. He has nothing setting him apart in his genre, and this new song is just awful. Just awful. This was not a performance worthy of a reigning Idol, and Lady Gaga made him look quite amateurish in comparison. Adam Lambert at this stage makes Cook look like a hack.

Bar-ba-sol was initially written by Injected with Cook adding his own changes, hence the writing credit. Anyone not getting Cook should really listen to his pre-idol music. I believe he will end up somewhere in between pre and post-idol. Check out Analog Heart by DC and all of the Axium albums. Dave wrote or co-wrote all but a couple of those songs. Don't judge based solely on singles that he didn't write.

Nothing wrong with Cook's acting. You try singing backwards...no, it is not a natural thing to do. I think he did a great job. Not an easy thing to do. This is not a song Cook wrote. After this single, Cook had a hand in everything else. In answer to your question as what kind of singer Cook is, I can tell you haven't listened to the album or seen any of his concerts. I would suggest the same as ks. Check out the youtube concert videos mentioned above as well as videos for We're Only Honest When We're Sleeping and Souvenir. Rocker or Pop? He is both as is evidenced by a dual release of Bar-ba-sol and Come Back To Me. Rock & Pop. He is both. And TerraFirma, if you don't think he looks good, you are blind and have not one working female hormone in your body. He is absolutely gorgeous.

Bland, boring, very mediocre song. Cook doesn't clean up very well, and looks unnatural acting in this video....

This song is boring as hell... where is the edgy Cook we loved on Idol? Is he a rocker, or a pop singer? I'm confused, and disappointed thus far in his post Idol output... he was more interesting singing covers on the show. I'll pass.
