Rihanna reportedly demands Chris Brown to issue a public apology on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" for assaulting her during their February altercation to show he is really sorry for what he's done.

AceShowbiz - Rihanna wants Chris Brown to issue public apology on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" for the assault he did to her in February. Breaking report on that matter is Look Magazine, which claims the Barbadian songstress has been thinking of the option because she feels the need for Chris to "publicly denounce his behavior".

"..... Oprah (Winfrey) suggested Rihanna tell Chris that despite their recent commitment ceremony, she's been having second thoughts about them being back together," the publication quotes its spies as saying. "And agreeing to go on Oprah's show and tell the world how sorry he is will help make up her mind."

Chris, according to Look Magazine's insider, "said no at first, but bought himself some time by saying he needed to think about it with his mother Joyce. But he's desperate to win over the American public and he's realized this could be the perfect way."

No words just yet if Chris agrees on the option. Meanwhile, "Rihanna's trump card may be that Chris is desperate to avoid jail and thinks prosecutors will go easier on him if he expresses public contrition," the insider adds.

In related news, Rihanna and Chris Brown, who are never seen appearing together in public since their altercation on February 8, were not present at the 22nd Annual Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards which was held at L.A.'s Pauley Pavilion on Saturday night, March 28. Their absence from the affair was not a surprise as Chris has previously announced his withdrawal from the nominees list of the awards due to his on-going assault case. He was nominated for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song for "Kiss Kiss."
