Winners in music categories for the 22nd Annual Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards have been announced in a gala ceremony taking place on Saturday, March 28 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. Jonas Brothers and Beyonce Knowles were among those walking away with a trophy at the event.
The Jonas boys won Favorite Music Group, beating down DAUGHTRY, Linkin Park and The Pussycat Dolls. "Thank you guys so much," Joe Jonas said as taking the stage to collect the prize. Nick Jonas then added, "It's been amazing. We've enjoyed the ride thoroughly."
Meanwhile, Beyonce got Favorite Song for her track "Single Ladies", putting aside such competitors as Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" and Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music". In other categories, Jesse McCartney and Miley Cyrus were honored Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Female Singer respectively.
2009 Kids' Choice Awards was hosted by "Race to Witch Mountain" actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. In addition to honoring kids' favorites in music, it also gave credit to movie, television and athlete.
