It is confirmed that R&B/Hip-Hop musical group TLC will reunite for severals live gigs in Japan. Breaking the news to public is one of the group's members, Tionne Watkins a.k.a T-Boz, in a post on her Twitter.
T-Boz writes, "TLC starts practice 4 the Japan tour on Mon [March 23]." She then follows up her statement, adding, "Chilli [Rozonda Thomas] and I just met about our Japan dates! We are performing 17 songs." Tour dates for their upcoming Japan concerts are still kept under wrap though.
Beside announcing the group's concerts in Japan, T-Boz also reveals whom she has been working with for her solo debut album. She states, "I'm going in2 the studio with Brian Micheal Cox and Shakesphere ('No Scrubs')."
TLC split in 2008. At that time, T-Boz said it was not likely that there will ever be another album from the group. Instead, she insisted a farewell tour will be kicked off sometime before she releases her solo project. However, it is still unclear whether or not the forthcoming shows in Japan will be the farewell tour.
TLC have released four studio albums. Their latest installment is called "3D" and has been released in 2002, the same year when Lisa Lopes was killed in a car accident in La Ceiba, Honduras. They have also dropped a compilation album "Now & Forever: The Hits" in 2004.
