In 'Law and Order: Special Victims Unit' episode 'Ballerina', three murders lead to one suspect who has a dark past.

Airing tonight (March 17), is an episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" that is guest-starring Carol Burnett ("All My Children"). She plays a former Rockette, Birdie Sulloway, who along with her nephew Chet, try to assist the investigation in the murder of three people.

When Detectives Benson and Stabler arrive on the scene of a single murder, they discover two more dead bodies, those of Tisa Flores and Alejandro Reyes, in the apartment next door. They investigate Tisa's past and find that she was working at a strip club owned by a former Rockette, Birdie Sulloway.

Birdie and her nephew Chet (Guest Star Matthew Lillard) try to assist with the investigation, but when the prime suspect for the three murders suddenly dies, the detectives discover a vigilante with a violent past.

Several clips from the episode called "Ballerina" are available. The first three are on the interrogation of Birdie by Stabler. The fourth and fifth clips are the arrest of Birdie and the arraignment with ADA Cabot respectively.

Carol's performance was superb. She deserves an Emmy for this guest appearance. The final scene was riveting.

I've got it, Norma Desmond played by Carol Burnett could play permanent murderesses on all of the crime shows on t.v. Did she mean to look that awful? Hope not cause she's my hero. vicki
