Taylor Swift is among the nominees of Album of the Year at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. Announced on Thursday morning, March 5 in Nashville, it was revealed that her second studio album "Fearless" will be up against Jamey Johnson's "That Lonesome Song", Montgomery Gentry's "Back When I Knew It All", George Strait's "Troubadour" and Carrie Underwood's "Carnival Ride".
The rest of the 2009 ACM nominees have been unveiled earlier on February 11. The announcement of Album of the Year nominations was delayed due to "a revision in the qualifications". Albums, which have sold at least 300,000 copies, were previously considered to be in the competition to win the title, but "that is no longer the case."
2009 Academy of Country Music Awards is scheduled for April 5 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be broadcast live on CBS. Its winners will be determined via voting on GACTV.com. Taylor Swift, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Miranda Lambert, Heidi Newfield and Tim McGraw are all scheduled to sing at the annual event. As for presenters and the other performers, announcement is expected to be made soon.

I am so glad to see I am not the only one that thinks she is a horrible singer! She is awful, I cringe everytime I hear her voice. I don't understand how she could win anything!
I feel sorry for Taylor...I can't believe that any one would actually fill this poor girls head with the smallest bit of belief that she actually can carry the smallest tune, please as a parent, give her some direction and let her know that she is making people cringe as they are listening and watching her make a fool of herself,(thrash her head up and down violently) she has other talents than singing because we all know deep down that she really can not do that well at all...let her move on to something she is truly good at...let the "true" country artists go back to taking there spot in the lime lite.
Taylor swift did not deserve the awards she won last night. Her music is not country. She couldnt carry a tune in a bucket, and she is so not pretty. She should stick to writing little girlie pop songs she she should be pushed out of the country music genre. Carry Underwood and Reba have some of the best vocals ever and taylor does NOT even come close to falling the same catergory as either of these country women. Taylor Swift just sucks.

I take that back, she even sounds bad on the radio and cd's,..she does not sound country....she sounds like screeching cats.....go ruin some other genre of music...and let the real stars of country music shine...
She is okay looking but has no talent saw her on the CMA's last night....OMG did not realize she can't sing live.....how did they make her sound so good on her CD's and radio?????
