Demi Lovato lets her fans to be the first to know that she has obtained her driver's license and after that she informs best friend Selena Gomez about it.

AceShowbiz - 16-year-old Disney star Demi Lovato has obtained her driver's license. Confirming the news is the actress-singer herself through a short post on her blog. "YAY I GOT MY PERMIT! :D" so she writes. "You guys know before Selena does ... Haha gonna call her now!" she adds when referring to her best female friend Selena Gomez.
Back in December 2008, Demi frankly told TVGuide's Jill Wilderman in an interview that she had not taken her driver's education classes just yet. So, "I am still without a driver's license or permit," she concluded at that time.
In related news, Demi Lovato's name has become talk of the town these past few days ever since she expressed her hope to pen music for the soundtrack of the much awaited "Twilight" sequel, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon." "I think it'd be cool to be in the soundtrack," so she said at the world premiere of "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience" on Tuesday, February 24.
In fact, Demi isn't the only music star who wants to be part of the upcoming vampire flick as Jonas Brothers also have shared their willingness to give contribution to the project. "The movie ['Twilight'] was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part of [the sequel], that would be great," Nick Jonas told MTV.
