'Hannah Montana: The Movie' Is More Mature With More Drama
Movie

Appearing alongside Miley Cyrus in 'Hannah Montana: The Movie', Mitchel Musso spills the bean on what to expect of the Disney Original Series' movie adaptation.

AceShowbiz - "Hannah Montana: The Movie" will be different from its original TV series, "Hannah Montana". Discussing the matter with MTV News, one of the movie stars Mitchel Musso shared, "It has a lot more drama. There's a lot of sentimental things [in the script] that came from [Miley Cyrus'] heart and Billy Ray [Cyrus]'s heart, because that's where they live. They shot in all the areas they used to hang out in."

Exposing more about it when being interviewed on the red carpet for the world premiere of "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience", the actor who plays Oliver pointed out, "It's a little bit more mature, but still very family friendly." He further explained the plot, saying "Miley doesn't want to be Hannah Montana. She wants to go back [home] and be her own thing, and falls in love with a boy there and doesn't want to leave."

Though picking up a heavier topic than the TV series, the movie will still provide ticklish scenes as Musso revealed his favorite scene in the movie. "I think my favorite scene was when I blow up a cake all over the place," he recalled the first day he was on the movie's set. "Lily [played by Emily Osment], Miley's best friend, has this 5-foot-tall cake."

"Of course, it's not a real bomb. But I hadn't seen the cast in a year-and-a-half, and the first day of filming was just watching them get covered in cake from me," he continued. "I was just watching it, all squeaky clean. They had these 3-foot-wide cannons, filled with ice cream and cake and stuff to shoot all over them! It was hilarious. I'm sorry Miley and Emily and Billy Ray!"

"Hannah Montana: The Movie" will revolve around Miley Stewart when her popularity as Hannah Montana starts to take a toll on her life. With her identity as the pop-star persona threatening to take over her life, her father takes her home to Crowley Corners, Tennessee for a dose of reality, forcing her to figure out what's really important in her life.

The comedy movie from Walt Disney Pictures stars Miley Cyrus as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana and is supported by Billy Ray Cyrus, Mitchel Musso, Jason Earles and Emily Osment among others. Taylor Swift and Tyra Banks will also join them in the cast. Directed by Peter Chelsom, it will be debuted in the U.S. theaters on April 10.
