At the 81st Annual Academy Awards, Anne Hathaway will reportedly join the opening singing-and-dancing number, which will likely to include Hugh Jackman, Beyonce Knowles, Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron.

AceShowbiz - Anne Hathaway is believed to have been recruited as one of the artists singing and dancing with Hugh Jackman at the opening set of this year's Academy Awards. Breaking the news for the first time, Life & Style quotes a source, "Anne is rehearsing at the Kodak Theatre [site of the Oscars] in Hollywood today."

In addition to Hathaway and Jackman, Beyonce Knowles has previously been rumored to join the opening singing-and-dancing number at the annual event. Furthermore, Vanessa Hudgens and her boyfriend Zac Efron, who was said to present an award at the event, may also make a contribution to the set.

In anticipation of the awards, Knowles and Jackman are claimed to have their rehearsal at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York City. As for the entire group, which may include "Mamma Mia!" stars Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper if their scheduling conflicts are settled, rehearsal was reportedly conducted on February 17 in Hollywood with song-and-dance routine directed by Baz Luhrmann, who helmed movie "Australia".

The 81st Annual Academy Awards meanwhile will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday, February 22. Aired by ABC, the star-studded show will honor the best in film with Hugh Jackman making a hosting job and Robert Pattinson possibly presenting an award.
