After the short preview as well as the Entertainment Tonight's teaser trailer version of "Inglourious Basterds" came out earlier, an official teaser trailer for the Quentin Tarantino's war drama has been put out. The nearly two minutes video gives more to the story of The Basterds, the Brad Pitt's speech to his newly-recruited band of soldiers and actions to be seen.
An ensemble war film from filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, "Inglourious Basterds" is set in Nazi-occupied France. It begins when Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. Narrowly escaping the brutal murder, Shosanna flees to Paris, changes her identity and plans a revenge. Elsewhere, Lieutenant Aldo Raine assembles a group of Jewish soldiers known as The Basterds. Joining forces with German actress and undercover agent Bridget von Hammersmark, they set on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich.
This World War II film will see Brad Pitt starring as Lieutenant Aldo Raine, Melanie Laurent as Shosanna Dreyfus, Diane Kruger as Bridget von Hammersmark and Christoph Waltz as Colonel Hans Landa. They will also be supported by Samuel L. Jackson, Maggie Cheung, Julie Dreyfus, Mike Myers and Eli Roth among others. The film for the Weinstein Company is targeted for August 21 U.S. release.
