Rumor has it, a clip of the much awaited 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' could be a part of the 81st Academy Awards' end-of-show in the upcoming-movie montage segment.

AceShowbiz - A clip from "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is likely to be aired during the 81st Annual Academy Awards telecast. Suggesting the possibility was New York Times' The Carpetbagger as it reported that the clip from the sixth "Harry Potter" film could end up as a part of the planned montage shown at the end of the Oscars ceremony.

The picking up of the clip reportedly has been done by Warner Bros. earlier in a staff meeting in which the studio allegedly chose three films to get their clip featured. In companion to "Half-Blood Prince", the two other films to be getting the same treatment are Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes" and McG's "Terminator Salvation". Nonetheless, these rumors have yet to be confirmed by the studio.

The 81st Annual Academy Awards will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday, February 22. The gala ceremony honoring the best in film for 2008 will be aired live by ABC with Hugh Jackman serving as the show's host. "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", "The Dark Knight" and "Milk" are among the nominees up for the golden man statuettes.

Directed by "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" helmer David Yates, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Bonnie Wright, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman and many others. Initially set to be released on November 21, 2008, it has been pushed back to see a U.K. and U.S. release on July 17 this year.
