Tameka Foster is reported to have been experiencing "cardiac and respiratory arrest" during a liposuction operation which then leads to her hospitalization for "serious injury".

AceShowbiz - While the family and the hospital staff are keeping mum on the nature of Usher's wife Tameka Foster's complications from plastic surgery, the Agence France-Presse (AFP) has obtained more details on her condition as being reported by Brazilian news website G1. The site claimed Tameka, who mothers Usher's two sons, was rushed to the Sirio-Libanes Hospital's intensive care unit in Sao Paulo last Friday, February 6 after having a medical emergency during a liposuction operation.

Tameka was described to have suffered "cardiac and respiratory arrest" by the time she was anesthetized for the cosmetic surgery. G1 claimed further that Tameka had been put into an induced coma for 24 hours, but she has since recovered.

A spokeswoman for the Sirio-Libanes Hospital declined to comment on Tameka's hospitalization, reasoning, "The family has demanded total privacy. The hospital is barred from giving any information." Usher's publicist previously told reporters on Monday, February 9, "Tameka Raymond is in stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery", adding that "her husband Usher is with her at the hospital. No further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time."

On the same day, Dr. Gabriel Hunt, a neurosurgeon of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, who reportedly flew with Usher to Brazil to help treating Tameka, has been seen leaving the hospital, but he did not comment on the situation.
