The third round of "American Idol" brought more tears and laughters for the contestants as 72 singers performed and some are cut. The Tuesday, February 10 episode witnessed the axing of Jason Castro's baby brother Michael as well as several others including Leneshe Young, India Morrison and Kaylan Loyd.
This round is when the contestants appear before the judges, backed with a full live band. Some of the songs delivered are Plain White T's "Hey There Delilah", Cher's "Believe", Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You" and Jordin Sparks' "Tattoo". Leneshe in particular delivered Sara Bareilles' "Love Song" and Kaylan got stopped by Simon mid her song.
Before the deliberation, the contestants are spread into four rooms. Three make it to the next round while one meets the end. Those taking the 'yes' are among others Joanna Paciti, Alexis Grace, Casey Carlson, Kai Kalama, Jasmine Murray, Stephen Fowler, Michael Sarver, Nathaniel Marshall, Von Smith, Anoop, Scott, Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert, Lil Rounds, Jorge Nunez, Nick Mitchell, Junot Joyner, Ann Marie, Matt Breitzke, and Megan Corkrey.
Tonight, February 11, the judges will determine the Top 36 before moving on with the actual showdown on Tuesday, February 17.

I think Michael Castro would be a very good country artist. He was good.
I think it stinks that micheal Castro didn't even get to sing on tv that smells pretty fishy american Idol . You didn't even give him a fare shot shame on you ..Because he has good self confidense you kicked the poor kid off I have watched american idol from day one this season I'm not watching what a three ring circus this year with a freak show to boot.
I think they did American Idol fans wrong by not letting us see Jasons Brother before the cut. It wouldn't have hurt them to show his last performance. Whatever alot of us are just ticked.
I can't believe they put that freak Norman through and they cut Micheal Castro. I think Paula has opened up her bottle of little pills and they are all partaking!!!!!!
