Confirmed to team up with Dr. Dre, Pharrell Williams and Lalo Shifrin, Snoop Dogg eyes to release his new album in September through MTV.

AceShowbiz - After leaving Geffen/Intercope Records, Snoop Dogg finds a new home in MTV and agrees to release his new album "Malice in Wonderland" through the network company. "When [MTV Networks Music/ Films/ Logo Groups President] Van Toffler and I sat down boss to boss, a global quintuple threat takeover was masterminded," Snoop says in a statement.

Snoop's next installment will line up musical guests such as Dr. Dre, Pharrell Williams and Lalo Schifrin. "We're in the process of trying to help him [Dr. Dre] with the 'Detox' record and working on mine at the same time," so he confirms to Billboard.

A spokesperson to MTV reveals that details on how the album will be brought forward are still in the works. No fixed release date has been announced but Snoop eyes to drop the record in September.

On top of that, several selections from Snoop's music will also be featured in "Rock Band" video game. Of that matter, MTV's publicist says, "As the world of entertainment keeps changing, we felt it was the right time to let Snoop Dogg back on MTV so we could continue to run thangs with music, movies, DVDs and bring hip-hop to 'Rock Band'."

Snoop Dogg's previous studio album "Ego Trippin'" has been available for U.S. purchase since March 7, 2008. Featuring the likes of Charlie Wilson, Raphael Saadiq and Kurupt, it reached number 7 on Billboard Hot 200, selling more than 382,000 copies in America to date.
