While most of the previously-released stills from "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" highlight on Kristin Kreuk's titular character, a freshly-found photo of the live-action adaptation film features Spanish warrior Vega. Posted at /Film, the new image gives away for the first time a closer look at the man behind the mask of the fighter nicknamed the "Spanish Ninja".

In the picture, it can be seen Black Eyed Peas' member Taboo dons an all-black outfit for his portrayal of the warrior. His look is completed with a sharp metal claw and a silver mask. However, instead of wearing the mask to hide his identity, Taboo holds the mask in front of him using his left hand.

Based on the famous series of fighting video games by Capcom, "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" is directed by "Doom" and "Cradle 2 the Grave" helmer Andrzej Bartkowiak. Starring Kristin Kreuk as female fatale Chun Li, it focuses the story on undercover Interpol agent Chun-Li and her epic quest for justice following the kidnapping of her father.

Aside from Kristin Kreuk, Michael Clarke Duncan will be seen taking the role of Balrog, while Neal McDonough, Moon Bloodgood, Taboo and Chris Klein will star as Bison, Detective Maya Sunee, Vega and Charlie Nash respectively. Scripted by Justin Marks, the action adventure will blast into U.S theaters on February 27.

I think Taboo is good looking but i would not cast him as Vega. seriously! Vega is supposed to be a beautiful man from Spain, not an Indian singer from the Black Eyed Peas! This movie sucks JUST like the old one!

This is the most disoppointing movie of all time I am a street fighte fan. Vega is supposed to be a beautful man from spain. Bison is a dark haired dark eyed military man from thailand. And balrog is a boxer not a wrestler .... If you like this movie then you know nothing about streetfighter and dont make me get on to you about vegas mask and outfit .... And chung li, she goes from chinese to american as she grows up

Taboo as Vega is very disappointing. It would have been more fitting if he had been cast as Blanka. Less work for make-up department.

This film better a good one cause the last one sucked and BLANKA better fight and there better be a lot of fight scenes with him.

to add on to my last point ,in the movie street fighter 1, the spaniard playing Vega was PERFECT! What a shame.

are you serious??? This guy is playing Vega?? Vega is supposed to be good looking and chiseled with a little bit of bulk. This singer is an ugly runt. Already dissapointed, I saw the preview and it showed Vega for a moment and now I C who Vega is...poor casting.

sean carmody; i disagree. i know some people are complaining that taboo doesn't look handsome like the vega in the video games. but taboo looks cool and evil as vega. i would love to see blanka in a movie. but i dont think blanka will fit in street fighter: the legend of chun-li. blanka, ryu, and ken should appear in sequels. blanka is a character the requires more time to put on film (green skin, fire red hair, electricity, etc).but i respect your post sean. taboo looks flexible as vega; and i know he'll probably need stunt doubles for complicated things. i cant wait to see this movie on february 27. go street fighter: the legend of chun-li.

I am sorry, but he does not look convincing as Vega. I am not looking forward to this film. No Ryu, no Blanka, no Ken, and a number of characters that are not in the games makes me know that this is not going to be a good film.
